Great Barrington—Two days. Two events. Same result.

One day removed from winning the Northeastern New York PGA Match Play Championship, his 4th section victory of the year, Taconic Assistant Josh Hillman hopped back over the Massachusetts border and won the 36-hole Berkshire County Club Professional Championship at Wyantenuck yesterday.

“It’s been a busy week,” he said with a smile.

In the first round, Hillman shot a 1-under 69, the only sub-par score in the morning, and took a two-shot lead over Greenock’s Bob Mucha heading into the afternoon. But Mucha could only muster a 72 in the 2nd round and lost ground to Hillman, who shot an even par 70 and won by four.

“I made a lot of good four to six-footers,” said Hillman. “And those saved me.”

Mucha did gain some sort of redemption by winning the season-long, 72-hole championship by four shots over Hillman.

Hillman will now turn his attention to the NENY PGA Assistants Match Play Championship, which he won last year, and the PGA National Assistants Championship in October.
