Malone, New York—Josh Hillman continued his dominance of the Northeastern New York PGA section.

The Taconic Assistant, who in the past month has won the Assistants Championship and the Professional Championship, added the Stroke Play Championship to his growing victory list.

Hillman trailed first round leader Jeremy Kerr by two after shooting a 71 on Monday. But he quickly found himself leading after a front nine of 3-under 32 in the final round. Birdies on Nos. 12 and 13 increased his lead to five.

“At that point, I was trying to avoid a disaster,” said Hillman, who bogeyed No. 14 coming in and shot 68 for a 139 total and three-shot victory.

Hillman earned $2,500. Berkshire Hills Head Professional Bob Meheran shot 70 on Monday and was grouped with Hillman in the final round but slipped to 76 and tied 8th. Stockbridge’s Jimmy Marston (76-74) and Wyantenuck’s Tom Sullivan (78-78) tied for 12th and 17th, respectively.
