Player Spotlight: Andy Congdon

Home Club: Wyantenuck Country Club

Handicap: 1

Occupation: Insurance Broker: Wheeler & Taylor Insurance

2006: Year in Review

Low Round: Low round in tournament play was a 69 in the third round of the Berkshire Hills Singles.

Best Tournament Finish: A couple of individual wins (GEAA Singles, Wyantenuck Club Championship) and a few team competition wins (Men’s Allied 4-Ball, Wyantenuck 4-Ball).

Best shot: Tee shot on No. 6 (the 16th hole of the day) at Skyline. Drove the green and made the putt for an eagle. That, along with my brother’s fine play, helped us win the Men’s Allied 4-Ball.

Most Memorable Moment: See above AND teaming with by brother to win Wyantenuck’s 4-Ball.

Goals Accomplished: My goal heading into the season was to be competitive in every tourney I played in. The most important thing is to be in position on the final nine holes to win the tourney. For the most part, I accomplished my goal.
