Randy Driscoll: 2005 Men’s Allied Co-Champion

I am flattered to be recognized in the game of golf on any level.  I admire guys like Andy Congdon, Ed Budz, and Matt Scarafoni (to name just a few), but to be compared to and competitive against these guys has been a long-term goal of mine for years.

I had the opportunity to play some golf over the winter in Las Vegas and North Carolina.  I have also hit balls in Albany a few times this winter, so I guess it doesn't feel like the beginning of the year for me, but I have a lot to work on.  A goal I have every year is to possess a game that travels.  I believe that if you can post a good score anywhere you play that says a lot about a player’s ability and maturity.

Some of the things I am working on this spring include: my tee game, putting, and my attitude when my game has left me.  I am not the type of player that snaps if I don't hit every shot perfect, but I do need to keep my spirits up so as not to affect players/friends around me.  If I can show progress in these areas, I look forward to a great year!  Hit 'em well everyone!  See you on the course.
