Jim Salinetti: February 1

2007 will be a little different than past years. I qualified for the NGA Hooters Tour.  The Hooters Tour is one of the more competitive and respected mini-tours in the country, and with all the uncertainty going on with mini-tour golf, I figured I should play a tour that I can trust. The Tour mostly plays in the southeastern part of the country, so it's territory that I'm pretty familiar with.  The competition is tough, and the money is very good.  But what I like most is the fact that the tour produces a lot of PGA Tour players and that is obviously the ultimate goal.

Right now I am still working a couple of days a week at the Breakers Rees Jones Course in
West Palm Beach.  I have recently started playing in some Minor League Golf Tour events in south Florida, helping me get rid of the competitive rust.  Overall my game feels very good.  Physically I have never felt better, mainly because of a new work out program and help from a nutritionist in the Berkshires.  Mentally, I am trying to improve on some pre-shot visualization techniques and really start to get that "go low" attitude on the golf course.  I expect good things for 2007 and can't wait
to get going full-time.
