Player Spotlight: Darin Aitken
Handicap: 5
Home Club: GEAA
Occupation: Land Surveyor—Foresight Land Services
2006 Low Round: 74
Career Low Round: 70
2006 Tournament Results: 2nd GEAA singles, I’ve played only a handful of times this year.
Most Memorable Moment in Golf: 2005 City Championship—After watching the battles between Jay Abair, Dave Donovan, Billy Dinicola, Steve Magargal and all the others, this definitely tops the list, and hopefully it will come back to be a big event like it was 10 years ago. Also the NEIGA championship at Cape Cod (the Captain’s Course): the toughest 36 holes I played every year. With over 46 colleges from the New England region it is the largest college tournament in the country.
Favorite hole in Berkshires: 3rd hole—Taconic (Driver—5 Iron?). Awesome golf hole.
Least favorite hole in Berkshires: too many to list
Goals this season: Play well or play my best in tournaments, play more than once a week and most of all enjoy my time spent on the golf course. (I am getting married in September.)
