Andy Congdon: March 28

Let me first say that I'm surprised but very pleased that Dom asked me to include some information in the "Player's Corner." It is quite an honor to be included along side such players as Jim Salinetti and Matt Donovan!

The winter seemed to fly by…mainly because I was able to play quite a bit of golf. New Year’s meant Myrtle Beach and four rounds of golf. February included a visit to Birmingham, Alabama for two rounds of golf with my son. Most recently, my wife and I vacationed in Hawaii where I got in six rounds.

If the early scores are any indication, it should be another competitive year. However, one area that does need improving is the short game and I am committed to spending more time around the putting green. As far as goals go, I may have already mentioned one goal…and that is to be competitive, in every round and tourney I play in.

Other goals for the season include maintaining a (more) positive attitude at all times on the course and putting an emphasis and effort into the swing, NOT the results. Perhaps easier said that done, but we shall see. Here's looking forward to this season.
